Location: North Penn School District, Lansdale PA
Project: Outdoor Sound System
The Challenge: The North Penn School District lacked an adequate sound system for outdoor school-year programs, including athletic contests and High School graduation ceremonies. The District had been renting systems on an as-needed basis; however this proved to be costly and often resulted in poor sound quality at these significant events.
The CSI Solution: A customized bleacher sound system, with permanent and portable components that assimilated portions of the current system. The portable system would be used for graduation ceremonies. The permanent system would be able to broadcast announcements and pre-recorded music clearly during sporting events.
The Project: For the permanent system the equipment used included two full-range, three-way Community speakers mounted on the top of the press box. One Biamp Nexia SP Digital Signal Processor was installed to provide the necessary pre-amplification . The portable system featured four two-way Community monitor speakers and 20 two-way Community full-range portable speakers with cabling. The system incorporated the District's existing CD Player and Wireless Microphones. The entire package included training and service agreements, as well as arranging for financial assistance via the COSTARS program. CSI completed the project in 2010, in time for the High School Graduation
The Result: "The sound system that you helped me design and spec worked flawlessly and sounded great. We receieved numerous comments on how clear the sound system was and how it sounded better than ever before. Thanks again for all of your help with the project. I look forward to working with you again soon." Chris Doerr AV Tech Specialist, North Penn School District
