9/11 Hero Talks Organizational Resilience At CSI's Security Expo
This past October 21, CSI hosted a Security Solutions Expo.
The featured presentation, titled "Organizational Resilience" was delivered by Victor Guarnera, who held several security management positions with TSR Consulting between 1992 and 2006. During this period, TSR provided all the security services for the New York/New Jersey Port Authority.
In between attacks on the World Trade Center, Mr. Guarnera was involved in improving building and network security processes for the WTC, including the evacuation procedures. As a result, many who otherwise might have perished on 9/11 were able to reach safety.
Mr. Guarnera was at 2 WTC on the morning of the attacks and helped evacuate both towers prior to their collapse. He was awarded the Civilian Commendation Medal of Honor for Bravery and Valor for his actions on that day.
